Leadership Hillsborough has been supporting Wimauma Elementary School for over 31 years by holding our annual gift wrapping drive to provide Christmas gifts to the students of the school.

On our Social Services seminar day, our class and board go to Wimauma Elementary and deliver our donated gifts to the Principal and staff to distribute to the students.

We are now accepting donations until Friday, December 2 at 5:00 p.m.

Please email Board@LeadershipHillsborough.org to make arrangements for drop-off of unwrapped gifts.

Items such as: toys, games, sports equipment, blankets, clothes, bikes, etc.

Leadership Hillsborough, which provides development opportunities to leaders who seek to expand their leadership on diverse dynamics, has announced its 14 new class members in the Tampa Bay area.

The class shares similar goals with the previous graduates, such as better understanding their roles as community leaders, building relationships within the community and creating an influential network and collaborative opportunities.

The 10-month-long program runs from September through June and requires a commitment of at least one full day per month with an overnight opening retreat and a midyear retreat.

Participants also have the opportunity to speak directly with established leaders in Hillsborough County.

To graduate from the program, each class member must attend 80% of the planned seminars. Additionally, the class must work together and complete a class project before graduation. 

Leadership Hillsborough is a nonprofit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors. It was founded in 1989 to promote harmonious relations and enhance communication by unifying all sectors of Hillsborough County through encouraging interaction among business, professional and community-oriented individuals.

We are no longer accepting applications for the 2022-2023 Class. We will re-open the application window for the 2023-2024 Class in the new year.

Leadership’s Health Seminar Day a trip to Tampa General Hospital for a behind the scenes look at “mission control” clinical command center which uses artificial intelligence and predictive analytics to improve and better coordinate patient care.

The class visited Wish Farms, Keel and Curley Winery for  behind the scenes tour and finished up the day with Visit Tampa Bay, The Tampa Bay Sports Commission and Vinik Sports Group downtown!

The class met with Tampa International’s VP of Operations and had a behind the scenes tour of the airfield followed up with presentation by Port Tampa Bay and the Expressway Authority!
